Mission and Goals of OMMH
Mission
The Office of Minority Male Health is dedicated to raising the level of awareness regarding the chronic illnesses that affect minority men, by promoting and implementing activities that encourage men to adopt healthier lifestyles.
Goals
The six goals listed below are designed to support and further the purposes of the National Minority Male Health Project. |

To promote wellness and healthy living amongst male students at Lincoln University and amongst males in the city of Coatesville, and communities in Chester Counties by providing informative literature, conducting workshops and outreach programs with campus and community organizations.

To increase the knowledge and awareness about chronic diseases particularly those affecting the mortality of the target group by providing informative literature, conducting workshops and outreach programs with campus and community organizations.

To introduce strategies for effective stress management amongst the target group by providing informational literature, conducting workshops and outreach programs with campus and community organizations.

To provide nutrition, education and fitness information by providing informational literature, conducting workshops and outreach programs with campus and community organizations.

To conduct smoking cessation workshops and seminars and provide informational literature on the health dangers of smoking, drug and alcohol use and abuse.

To provide health education for Black and Hispanic male youth through the provision of after school programs and a mentoring program involving Lincoln undergraduates
